Grew up in the Chicago area (NW suburbs) and moved to Benton, Illinois in 2007. I've been drawing since grade school. I'm legally blind and never knew what is like to have normal vision. I draw and paint using a magnifying glass.
1980 - 1984 Graduated from John Hersey High School.
During my senior year my work was put on exhibition at Harper collage.
1984 - 1990 After graduation I worked at my father's Company, Mastri Graphic Design.
I worked as as a commercial artist. Doing design, Airbrush illustration, Photo-retouching, Keyline and paste-up. Many things I worked on went to press and appeared in ads and on billboards prior to my 24th birthday.
1990 - 1993 Apprenticed under one time Disney artist Micheal DeFrancisco.
1994 - 1995 Attended Harper College
Studied - Sculpture and Oil Painting.
1996 - 1999 Attended Oakton College
Studied - Website Design, Computer Illustration, Digital Painting, 2D and 3D Animation.
1998 - 1999 Worked at Zenith Electronics
I worked as an
illustrator drawing concept ideas from blueprints to show what the finished product would look like.
1999 - 2007 Worked at VCP Print
Website Designer, Illustration and 3D animation.
2007 - Now Airbrushing motor cycles, guns and wall murals. Currently focusing on charcoal illustrations of antique tractors.
